My name is Stefan Schmitt, I am a seasoned IOS developer with over ten years experience in the games industry. I have worked my way up from QA to iOS Engineer and have gained strong skills in games translation and localization engineering along the way. I had the chance to spend over 5 years working for Blizzard Entertainment, and took part in developing world renown games such as World of Warcraft, StarCraft II and Diablo III.
At some point it seemed like an obvious choice for me to start developing my very own apps and games. I moved to the Silicon Valley and began work on my first indie game, Sidius Nova, which you can download on the App Store today. The development process of Sidius Nova was the experience of a lifetime, and I was lucky enough to find such an enthusiastic indie game community in the Silicon valley. The title received praise from both users and press alike, and lead to a successful Kickstarter Campaign in 2012.
Back in Paris, I decided to share my skills with promising startups and established companys, bringing my hard work and dedication to their team in order to help meet their needs and create the best iOS apps possible.
Working as a contractor for various clients is now my main activity.
On the side, I keep my passion alive by developing my second game TOW2, and by trying to strengthen the French indie game community by organizing a monthly meetup based on networking, experience sharing and business opportunities.
